There’s a new arts festival coming to New York City this month as if we needed another one. But hey, what’s one more week of trust-fund babies pissing on a canvas and calling it art? The High Line Festival is “a new multi-discipline arts festival that will be curated each year by a different artist.” And this year’s inaugural curator is David Bowie! Surprisingly, to us anyway, the cinema portion of the festival is solely comprised of “10 Latin American & Spanish Films from the Last 100 Years”. It seems Bowie was Latin American cinema well before Latin American cinema was cool.
