Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich apologized via YouTube to the Latino community for his attacks on Spanish speaking in America. During a speech he gave on March 31 to the National Federation of Republican Women, Gingrich said he believes bilingual education in this country should be replaced with immersion in English:

So people learn the common language of the country and they learn the language of prosperity, not the language of living in a ghetto.

Sometimes we wonder if famous people realize other people can hear them. Fortunately, Gingrich remedied the situation in this video where he apologizes in Spanish with English subtitles. There's an English version too, but this one's just so much more fun.
