“Paraguayan Ex-NFL Player” behind “The Landlord”

The culprit behind that fucking “Landlord” video that everyone and their mother sent us last month is apparently Gary Sanchez Productions. Sanchez, an alter ego of Will Ferrell’s and business partner Adam McKay’s is described in an article in the Hollywood Reporter as, “a Paraguayan ex-NFL player who sounded on the phone awfully like McKay with a Spanish accent.” He explained the video was used to launch the new comedy website FunnyOrDie:

…videos starring Hollywood heavyweights will appear regularly in the “featured” section of FunnyOrDie, but “the meat and cabbage of the site will be the real peoples.”

We suspect this won’t be the last we hear of this Sanchez and his peoples. Stay tuned.
