El Mas Chingon Es El Mas Unemployed

Ummm..we’re a little late on this one, but apparently a month ago, ABC announced they are canceling The George Lopez Show for new content including the much talked about Geico Cavemen sitcom. (Don’t even get us started on that one.) Though we’re not fans of The George Lopez Show, we think his standup is genius. So we were a little disappointed to hear he is playing the race card in response to the news. If the show were great, or even good, we might buy into the idea that ABC is letting Latinos down. But as far as we can see, this turn of events gives Lopez time to focus on stand-up where he really excels. And he can say a lot more of what needs to be said on an uncensored stage or album than he can on dinosaur TV. Here’s hoping he rolls with it.
