Guanabee: Not For The Faint Of Heart, But Not Against The Light In The Loafers

It’s come to our attention that we have already offended some people (awesome!) with some jokes we made yesterday about Brazilian cowboys and their limited job choices in this country. We were actually called homophobic by one commenter. Now we understand that we’re new on the block, and you’re still getting to know what we’re all about. So, in the interest of peace, love and understanding, we want to take this time to assure our readers that while we certainly are out to shock both the mainstream establishment and the old-school Latino guard, we are in no way anti-homosexual. In fact, we have gay pornography on in the background right now. Just because we’re okay with it. What we are aiming to do on Guanabee is break stereotypes for all of us. One of those stereotypes is that Latinos, both gay and straight, can’t take a joke because we are always fighting for la causa. Another stereotype is that heterosexual Latinos don’t associate with homosexuals. The reality is that many of us on staff have intimate ties to the homosexual community and that comfort level may sometimes result in us taking liberties with humor. We do it to White people, too, and we fucking LOVE them. As a matter of fact, we do it to everyone. Most of all, ourselves. So we hope you will think it’s fun most of the time. And if we do screw up, let us know, but give us the benefit of the doubt that the only people we truly hate are ugly ones and, of course, Carlos Mencia. Peace.
