26 year-old Venezuelan prodigy, Gustavo Dudamel, will substitute funny-named Finnish sensation Esa Pekka Salonen as Musical Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra come 2009. We can’t wait!

As befits a fiery Latin firecracker, the New York Times describes him as the “one of the hottest, and youngest conducting properties around”. Hopefully, nobody will confuse him for a waiter or a valet parking guy. It’s been known to happen in LA.

It would be nice if you credited whoever wrote this little tidbit, don’t you think?

Lo siento! Miss Grand Enchilada herself, Yehudit Mam, wrote the above brilliance. Please click on over to her site for more insights.
