Gustavo Dudamel: Classical Conductor or Valet Parking Assistant?
5 June 2007, 10:30 AM. By Alejandro de la Cruz

26 year-old Venezuelan prodigy, Gustavo Dudamel, will substitute funny-named Finnish sensation Esa Pekka Salonen as Musical Director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra come 2009. We can’t wait!
As befits a fiery Latin firecracker, the New York Times describes him as the “one of the hottest, and youngest conducting properties around”. Hopefully, nobody will confuse him for a waiter or a valet parking guy. It’s been known to happen in LA.
