Jorge Ramos Says Don’t Be Rrrridiculous

Thank God we finally have a reason to talk about Jorge Ramos the Mexican-born, silver-haired papasote and anchor from Spanish-language, American news network Univision. Ramos has been on our to do list ever since we first laid eyes on his baby blues, and yet we’ve been posting for days with no mention of him. Today, however, Ramos weighs in on a topic previously mentioned on Guanabee. The infamous Newt Gingrich ‘Spanish is ghetto’ incident.
In response to Gingrich’s public remarks that bilingual education in America should be done away with in lieu of full-immersion English-only programs, Ramos said the following:
It’s ridiculous.
Eloquently stated. Ramos went on to say something about the United States being the only country he knows of where people are convinced that speaking only one language is better than speaking two or three, but he could have said Gaunabee is pocho trash from the Rio Grande and we’d still think he’s dreamy.
