‘Murderabilia’ Is The New Hipster Pissing On A Canvas
8 June 2007, 1:15 PM. By Carlos Posas
When a young, white trustfunder jizzes on a canvas in Manhattan, it’s art. When a convicted murderer does it in prison, it’s Murderabilia. We were fascinated to read that the late “Railway Killer” Ángel Maturino Reséndiz is connected to a proposed Senate bill that aims to stop prison inmates from selling prison collectibles, such as these, online for profit:
[...] magazine fashion ads defaced with satanic symbols and stained with the bodily fluids of a campus shooter, a sketch of a headless victim drawn by a Death Row murderer, even fingernail clippings and foot scrapings from a serial killer.
Reséndiz, it seems, is the source of said clippings and scrapings. Excuse us a moment while we throw up. The aforementioned bill would prohibit inmates from using the U.S. Postal Service to make money, while somewhere over a FedEx exec’s head, a lightbulb appears.
