The Rise Of Dick Lit
7 June 2007, 5:45 PM. By Cindy Casares

Just when we thought we could close the book, so to speak, on Sex and the City’s reign over our generation’s reading material, we get wind of a new breed of comadre literature. A writer out of Boston named Johnny Diaz has just published his first novel this week entitled Boston Boys Club. Turns out, it’s just like Sex and the City if Sex and the City only focused on Stanford and that obnoxious Mario Cantone character. (Oh wait, that’s not a character.) And then Pedro from the Real World came to visit through the magic of Disney’s animatronics.
Boston Boys Club is the story of “a multifaceted professional Latino who happens to be gay,” and his two buddies in Boston living, loving and probably going to the gym at some point. We can’t wait to give a copy to everyone in our family!
