The Woman Who Clothed Our Mothers Is Dead
27 June 2007, 4:56 PM. By Cindy Casares

We are sad to hear of the passing of fashion icon Liz Claiborne yesterday at the age of 78. She will be most remembered for the accessible styles she created to outfit the rising corporate women of the 1970’s and 80’s. But we will always think of her as the woman who introduced us to skorts. Cancer took her, but her legacy lives on at Macy’s.
