Lake_Vanishes_Chile_6_20_07.jpg The ‘Oddly Enough’ section of news agency Reuters‘ worldwide coverage is the most apropos heading for a report out of southern Chile saying an entire lake has vanished. Fed mostly by melting glaciers in the country’s Patagonia region, the body of water occupied a surface about the size of 10 soccer fields. Authorities theorize that a tremor-caused fissure in its bottom may have sucked away all the lake’s water, but we think that’s just a cover-up as investigation of the robbery goes underway. In fact, after the jump is an exclusive video obtained from the Chilean feds about how this aqua thief also struck Quahog, Rhode Island–the home of animated series Family Guy.

Who woulda guessed Mayor Adam West’s Spanish isn’t half-bad?
