While Latinos are striving to be Whiter, it seems these days White people are striving to be more ghetto. So says the Los Angeles Times, anyway, in a searing expose entitled, “The lost generation’s race to the bottom.”

There is an escalating one-upmanship afoot in this group [of Britney, Paris, Lindsay and Nicole] for whom all attention is good. The public gets to watch B, P, L and N compete to be the most complete train wreck. If they don’t stop soon, it seems inevitable that somebody will get hurt.
