Pobrecita Jane Magazine. The place where Stayfree reached the elusive hipster girl got axed today. According to Businesswire:
Jane magazine will cease publication with its August issue, it was announced today by Charles H. Townsend, President & CEO of Condé Nast Publications. The website, janemag.com, will also be shut down.
“This was a very difficult decision for us,” Mr. Townsend said. “We worked diligently to make Jane a success. However, we have come to believe that the magazine and website will not fulfill our long-term business expectations.”
We realized that when they put Shakira on the cover. But we will miss it for…well, actually we never read it. But some of our grrrlfriends did. So, we’ll pour one out for them.
