Bored Out Of Its Mind, People En Español Releases Best And Worst Dressed List

Due to a late-summer denouement in Latino celebrity news (i.e., Noelia’s chocha and Thalía’s impregnation are entertaining for only so long), People En Español has released its best and worst dressed list of 2007. The best dressed half of this tired, yet time-honored gossip mag staple pairs a yawnfest of predictable honorees with cheesy subtitles: at #1, Jennifer Lopez is “a style pioneer”; at #3, Dayanara Torres is “effortless [Greta] Garbo” (ha!); at #7, Penelope Cruz is “a refined cutie”; and at #9, America ‘Ugly Betty’ Ferrara is “voluptuous seduction.” Of course, what really got us going was the worst dressed half of the list, specifically ’cause the posse included Paris Hilton, Britney Spears and… David Arquette? Way to kick a man when he’s down (not that we’re complaining); Arquette hasn’t gotten legit silver-screen exposure since “The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D.”
If this is about getting back at Whitey, there’s gotta be a wittier way.
