Cheech And Chong Get Face Time On Your Skateboard
6 July 2007, 6:15 PM. By Carlos Posas
Remember when Mexican stoner homage “Up In Smoke” ruled the world? (Our memory’s a bit fuzzy, too–must be all those bong rips we took while watching the movie.) Decades ago, Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong immortalized SoCal druggies Pedro and ‘Man’, respectively, so in turn are now immortalized on the bottom of a custom skateboard. (The slacker’s canvas of choice.) An artist’s rendering of their glazed-over expressions comes complete with weed smoke background, as shown to the left. We wonder if the designers at Flip Skateboards would dare to tackle that other Chicano icon from the ’70s, whose character lived on the other side of the law from Cheech…God forbid Erik Estrada as Ponch winds up on a deck any time soon. (We swear we love CHiPs.)

That deck was so rare, and I finally got one after lots of begging the skate rep at the store I work at.
