This week the New York Times churns out the same tired, “wow, a blogger is famous,” angle that everyone else is using to describe Perez Hilton’s “sudden meteoric rise to the top,” (i.e. a Vh1 special.) We were about to turn the page when we found something far more interesting “buried” in the second paragraph. (What? You want us to read the whole thing?):

On a Friday morning, [Perez] was sparring with Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck on “The View” […] The next Monday, he made a cameo appearance on Victoria Beckham’s reality special on NBC, followed by Kathy Griffin’s reality show on Bravo on Tuesday. Then he wrapped up the week with a “Nightline” profile on Friday.
After all that dignified mainstream exposure…

[needle scratch!]

Did the New York Times just call Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Posh Spice dignified? We truly are in the end of days.
