In the above clip, Daily Show correspondent and resident immigration expert John Hodgeman has a field day joining other talking heads in associating immigrants with old school diseases like leprosy and TB. Is that why the Senate couldn’t settle on amnesty for us nasty, pestilence-spreading migrants? The guy from those low-budget Apple ads seems to think so. (Make special note of the graphic that tracks the average number of fingers per hand from 2000 to 2007.) But don’t judge him too harshly; to be blunt, Hodgeman can’t read the teleprompter without his glasses.
