Fantasy-heavy Guillermo del Toro flick “Pan’s Labyrinth” picked up Best Film honors at this weekend’s Imagen Awards, “an annual Hollywood tradition [...] encouraging the television, film and advertising industries to portray Latino actors and production storylines in a positive and accurate manner.” (Whatever the hell that means.) Never missing an opportunity to heap even more approval onto a product already ballyhooed by the mainstream, we present you with the above clip–a recut trailer of 1987 schlockfest “Mannequin” whose scenes are timed almost seamlessly with the actual voice-over from a “Pan’s Labyrinth” trailer. One’s about an Egyptian princess reincarnated in the form of a mannequin, the other about a folktale princess guided by an immortal half-goat / half-man. The tasty result? “Pan’s Mannequin.”
