Everyday Latinos Overheard To Consider Cleanliness Next To Godliness
26 July 2007, 10:30 AM. By Carlos Posas
After indulging us last week with a double- whammy of Latino dialogue, Overheard In New York seems to have taken that whole ’spicy’ thing seriously. (Overcompensating much?) This round’s submissions are all about cleansing; the first one concerns itself with the internal variety:
Big Hispanic queer: … So he says, ‘So, don’t you feel cleaner?’ I says, ‘Man, I feel cleaner, but what about the 20 pounds I’m supposed to lose?’
Little Hispanic queer: I thought you were supposed to lose mad weight when you got your colon cleaned.

The second one, more concerned with keeping things kosher on the outside, follows the jump.
Puerto Rican thug #1: Man, you gotta wash yo’ hands before you touch yo’ dick, man. You don’t know what’s on ‘em. Don King said that.
Puerto Rican thug #2: True that. Yo… Don King said that?
Puerto Rican thug #1: Yeah, with the hair.

We get the feeling a major label reggaetón hit was produced out that day.
