The dictator whom the CIA couldn’t take down with exploding cigars now claims a “traitor” that the agency hired to poison him wouldn’t have come close. In a typically long-winded essay published yesterday, Fidel Castro says six poison pills and the Cuban official contracted by the Mafia and the U.S. government in ‘61 had no chance of getting to his gut. Even at death’s door, the man takes the time to rub failure in Uncle Sam’s face.
