Fidel Castro Deathwatch: El Comandante To Rot In His Tracksuit Til the End Of His Days, An Expert Says

Since it seems the Cuban dictator didn’t write any crazy shit in this weekend’s installment of his weekly editorials, the people at the papers stretched the unlikelihood of Fidel Castro ever returning to the island’s helm into ‘news.’ And what better way to do that than bring in an expert full of hot air? She remarks on the man’s penchant for wearing the same track suit in all his most recent pictures:

“As long as we keep seeing him in athletic gear — sort of the Latin American version of a retiree’s leisure suit — he is signaling that he will not retake the helm,” said Julia Sweig, Latin American expert at the Council on Foreign Relations, a Washington think tank.
