Guanabee To Go: Brooklyn Park To Be Swarmed Tonight By Hispanic Hipsters And the People Who Love Them
13 July 2007, 5:45 PM. By Carlos Posas
In keeping with the indie theme of this weekend’s Latin American Music Festival in New York (helping to “solidify the scene”), Brooklyn’s Prospect Park Bandshell is hosting three Latino acts that we have never heard of. They include a band of Mexican “alterna-rockers” called Zoé, a vocalist out of Monterrey named Chetes, and Spanish electronica group The Pinker Tones. So if you’re in the area, dust off those old chucks, wear your best Salvation Army-found Cantinflas shirt, and bring some weed. After all, you’ll need it if any discussion of Manu Chao breaks out.

My bad. I’ll go ahead and plead ignorance on this one, saying I just nabbed the photo off the sourced blog.
