Zorro_Harley_7_27_07.png Yesterday, at the annual dork convention known as Comic-Con International, a title was unveiled that will take the symbiotic relationship between product placement and fringe media to a new level–while buffooning Latinos at the same time! “Johnny Delgado Is Dead” focuses on a pair of Chicanos who channel the spirit of Zorro and Pancho Villa to fight crime and pimp one of America’s most marketed motorcycle brands. (Or something like that.) Via press release, one of the creators spins the heros’ conspicuous penchant for Harleys thusly:

We initially approached Harley-Davidson because our hero is a modern day Zorro and, today, Zorro’s steed would be a Harley. Nothing else would have made sense.

We’re aware Zorro went obsolete the day Antonio Banderas released his second movie as the gay blade, but never saw this coming for the legend’s horse. We’ll avenge you yet, Tornado!
