Nude Eva Mendes Pulls A Britney Spears For the Last Cover Of Jane Magazine, No One Knows Why

In a move we can only construe as a publication’s death rattle, Jane Magazine’s last issue will feature eager Latina sex object Eva Mendes unclothed on its cover and in its pages. The Cuban-American actress known for such legit films as “Ghost Rider” and “Hitch” donned nothing more than a fedora, flowers, and a necktie for a shoot reminiscent of the one Britney Spears did in her friend’s garden; other free-spirited (i.e., publicity hungry) celebrities that lined up for the same privilege include pseudo-soul singer Joss Stone and pregnant model / actress Milla Jovovich. Which made us wonder, what is the fucking point in all of this? To benefit some charity for kids without threads, barely. More likely to perpetuate the idea that in a room full of naked famous chicks, the ’spiciest’ one (that is, the Latina) will always whore out for the cover. But most likely to hook you into a lame piece on “Sex moves so good, you’ll forget you’re not flexible”. (Speaking of hooks, check out the semi-nude pics after the jump.)

The confusion is just enough to have us flip through the issue at the newsstand, put it back, and never think about Jane Magazine ever again.

[Ed. Note about that cover shot--Turns out Spears was originally inspired by a similar shot of Marilyn Monroe, but somehow this fails to legitimize what Mendes is doing. Also, that comment she makes in the black-and-white about combining an Oreo shake with her of tacos and fries? Gross.]
