Our First (Major) Correction: These Guys Are The Pinker Tones, NOT Café Tacuba

Remember that post we did last week about a concert in Brooklyn headlined by Spanish electro-pop act The Pinker Tones? Well, commenter claire put us in our place when she revealed the story features a picture of Café Tacvba instead of said Pinker Tones. As retribution, we’ve inserted a flesh- eating earwig into our brain. Seriously, folks, here’s a lovely picture of the band we meant to cover. But wait–there’s more! awww shit, i got mentioned in a guanabee post… FINALLY! i was getting jealous of that dude in boston. kidding. but blushing. but i mean, SERIOUSLY. café tacvba. and you guys are (at least) a third mexican. unacceptable.
also: pinker tones opened for zoe. and chetes cancelled. but i’ll stop being obnoxious.
Cafe Tacvba is so 2003. Which is why we don’t know who the fuck they are. We were hatched this year.
Oh, great! The naming of indie-pop bands for songs & titles from Weezer has spread to the Continent. Hopefully, at least, the Spaniard Weeze-philes are being unironic in their praise of the “forgotten” classic Pinkerton. I can’t say as much for The Good Life, though. Stupid Omaha cokehead scenesters, stupid Conor Oberst, stupid Saddle Creek…
