Telemundo Happily Pimping Out Mirthala Salinas

Telemundo52, the Los Angeles affiliate of the Spanish-language television network that employs news anchor Mirthala Salinas, is asking visitors on its website to weigh in on her affair with Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. LA Observed reports they’ve been covering the story as fervently as everyone else in LA:

This should be a private matter. It should be of zero concern to the public as long as it does not interfere with the jobs of both named individuals. After all, we are humans and our emotions towards a certain loved one can change.
Oh please!!! Your opinion is absolutely ridiculous… Obviously this is of public concern since we are talking about a man who works in a public office. I agree that feelings can change but it depends for what reasons. I dont want my Mayor to be thinking about who he is going to seduce and skrew later in the evening while at a meeting discussing some important issue of the city. How can you trust a man who is unfaithful to his own family… he would obvioulsy be unfaithful to all the people who once voted for him.
I agree with Erickson. How can we trust someone who was unfaithful in his marriage. I also understand that sometime we cannot help falling for other people. But of course it will have a heavy impact on the people with a public eye. If you think 20 years of marriage must have meant something. And it does mentioned he was unfaithful before. His wife really put up with that. He knew once he became Mayor of Los Angeles, he would be followed in whatever he does. How devasting this is. No, I would not vote for him again. We had enough with the issue of President Clinton and now with our Mayor. Please wake up!
His personal life is public concern. When he was running for Mayor, he displayed his family to get votes. He is desparate for attention, he loves calling the media for interviews and now that this is out, he doesn’t want the attention and has the nerve to ask the public to keep his family out of this. He should had thought of this, not before he started messing around with Mirthala Salinas, but before he displayed his family to get votes to put him in office. Kudos to his mother-in-law!
Ok, so she has been placed on leave of absence - good move, but now Telemundo should take the next step and terminate her employment. Mirthala signed a code of ethics form and Telemundo has a responsibility to uphold the code of ethics of the station. No one is exempt. She clearly violated the code of ethics. Mirthala was the reporter on the political beat. Then allegedly there was Padilla, Nunez, now Villaraigosa. What happened here? Was it that the station thought they would be in a better position News wise - and allowed each one of these relationships?
Mirthala knew he was married with YOUNG children. Is it that her recent personal tradgedy made her hard and heartless?? We all want love but not at the expense of innocent children, and how about your career?
As for the Mayor….I am speechless. When it was reported that he was separting from Corina, I thought, you are doing a fantastic job but at what expense…. Now, this…I am disgusted by his actions and no-self control. He as she clearly lied and it is an issue because they are both public people. Neither one seem to have any morals or values.

Mirthala might as well kiss her professional career goodbye. Not that I care who either one of those low-lifes are sleeping with, but she broke rule #1 of any ethical news agency: You don’t sleep with sources. You also don’t report on the breakup of a marriage and forget to include the little tid-bit about you being the reason for the break-up. Because then it looks like you’re laughing on the inside at all us pendejos who are relying on YOUR stupid ass to deliver the news straight. They both suck.
Mirthala Salinas is a BAD image for Telemundo. She is a very dishonest person, whom denied her relationship with Mayor Villaraigosa until he admitted it publicly. She has no professional ethics and deserves no repect. She is a liar. Who knows what the whole truth and all her reporting’s are. I wonder if she has a BLACK book…Mirthala Salinas got around in the club of Latino elected officials.
Mayor Villaraigosa’s current main squeeze previously dated Council President, now state Senator, Alex Padilla, Speaker Fabian Nunez’s office confirms he dated her as well. Salinas made the TOP “Whore List”. Will Rocky Delgadillo be next???

Both Salinas and Villaraigosa are whores. They have no morals and no values. I will never vote for Villa-scum-bag again. He is a womanizer, a pathertic liar, and a piece of shit. As for Salinas, she should be fired from her job, she cannot be trusted. She is a tramp who sleeps around with married men and breaks up families. I feel for Corina and her children, but they are better off without the scum-bag in their lives.

Wow, people are sure pissed off about this and while that is understandable, I think it is too simplistic to assume that everyone that makes a move like this is automatically a scum-bag, piece of shit. Shit happens quite frankly and while I am not a Californian, and I don’t know the history of this Mayor, why should he stay with his wife when clearly he doesn’t want to be there? She is better off finding someone that wants her 100% than him forcing himself to stay for the kids or an image when it is clear he has his sights set somewhere else. I don’t agree that him being a cheater equates automatically that he is incompetent, really people. I don’t know, I have been almost married twenty years myself pretty soon and being in an unhappy marriage is just not worth it; life is - in the end - too short and the kids will survive as long as they are shown love. What Mayor Villa La Mecha and his mistress have done was beyond immoral. Only in LA where celebrity marriages never last that long since the mayor acted as if he wanted to be in the limelight. The real losers are his family. Telemundo has covered up Salinas’ sexual big pimpin’ escapades with not only the may-ho Villa La Mecha, but Assembly speaker Fabian Nunez of Los Angeles/Maywood area, and former LA councilman, now state senator Alex Padilla from Sylmar. As for Corina, she needs to go see a doctor ASAP to be checked for any STDs. Shame on Villa Hoe for using the Hispanic media in thinking that he was for family values. He played it like a fiddle, and now fortunately, Corina had decided to divorce the Hoe. Good for her. She deserves better and she needs to stay healthy and strong for her kids. As for Salinas the homewrecker Hoe, she needs to be fired from Telemundo and get a job working for a prostitution brothel in Nevada. After all, Nevada is the only state in the nation that legalizes prositution.
