Remember when we posted news of Penelope Cruz delaying a flight from Newark to Barcelona because she suffered a panic attack and deplaned? The “Volver” star denies that was the case, saying she left only because other passengers did so after their plane sat on the tarmac for four hours. Oh, she also denied having any beef with Scarlett Johanssen (her co-star in the under-production Woody Allen project currently filming in Spain) just ‘cause they each supposedly dated Josh Hartnett once. And another thing—Cruz denies she and Spanish actor Javier Bardem are romantically involved. Did we mention this was the line of questioning at a press conference for the release of her and her little sister’s clothing line? Never mind. We swear this is our first and last attempt at stretching a story out of meaningless gossip. (Consider it an example of what not to do, or read.)
