Fashionista_Diaries_8_2_07.png As if scripted programming and melodramatic plotlines don’t entertain any more, SOAPNet has jumped into the reality TV fray with a series called “The Fashionista Diaries,” where “six hungry twentysomethings plunge headfirst into the New York fashion world.” But wait–the premise isn’t the lamest part! Check out the show’s logo to the left, where Communist red and Che’s silhouette combine to create a misappropriation that would offend us if it weren’t so comically pulled off. (See also, Mario Che, Chewbacca Che, and “Family Guy” Che.) Then again, this logo is actually trying to be cool. And we all know what happened when Cameron Díaz made that mistake

For the show’s unspeakably unoriginal tagline, follow the jump.

Thank you for pointing this out..this is a sad reference to “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised” ..this is why I heart guanabee..sounds like a t-shirt in the making.

Everybody knows Che would never be caught dead wearing last-year D&G sunglasses. Also, way to go with the red and the star. I always thought Stalin and Lagerfeld had fewer than two degrees of separation.

On the bright side, for the true revolutionaries, the memory of Che has not vanished to the four winds with the passage of forty-one years since Ernie’s assassination by the CIA. They have that to look upon, hopefully — maybe one of the “fashionistas” will emerge from this intellectually, not just cosmetically, enriched & will join a socialist workers’s organizing committee.
