A week ago today, we reported on Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez’s proposed constitutional reforms that’d end presidential term limits and enable him to become jefe ‘til kingdom come. Now the country’s Parliament (all of which is in Huey’s pocket, right next to his bottle of prescription-strength crazy pills) has given “initial approval” to said reforms; next, they’ll put it to a final vote before handing the decision over to the public. Guanabee’s inside source in Venezuela tells us these last two steps are nothing more than bullshit formalities and that the country’s citizens will make sure the next millennium of Venezuelan rule is all Huey, all the time. It might even get its own jingle!
