Elvira_Song_8_21_07.jpg You thought yesterday morning was the last you’d ever see of America’s most famous “Illegal I’d Like To Fuck,” but we’re afraid news from her motherland says otherwise: yesterday, a Mexican Senate committee formally agreed to prod President Felipe Calderón into sending a diplomatic note to the U.S. that’ll protest the deportation of Elvira Arellano. (Talk about mastery of ineffectual, round-about, governmental ‘action.’) Don’t quite know how that note will read, but we’re sure any mention of Jesus or Elvira’s U.S. citizen of a son–predictable as it may be–has a good shot at melting President Bush’s gullible heart. Which is probably why they don’t actually let Dubya make decisions.
