Quarterwatersaurus Devours Hipsters, Spits Out Their Fashion Belts

Deep in the dog days of summer, you have Guanabee’s bodega fever to thank for the above clip. In the hands of the able animators at Nursery TV, the Bronx phenomenon of quarter water (known around here as the poor man’s Kool-Aid) transforms from what our filmmaker of the day earlier termed “the staple of any bodega” into the menacing but misunderstood Quarterwatersaurus. Composed entirely of gigantic purple juice jugs, he’s the Episode 3 star of the online series called “Predators Of the Sprawl”–a faux nature documentary with New York as its featured terrain and hipsters as its prey. See if you can top the epithet spat by the Latino bodega owner around :37.
