British_Tourists_Peru_8_17_07.png A poll of over 1,000 British tourists has revealed that New York’s Times Square and Statue of Liberty are the 3rd and 5th-most overrated sights of interest in the entire world, respectively. (Clearly, they can’t relate to the joy of watching locals at the former locale lash out at idiots who’d rather take pictures of a goddamn Target ad than get out of the fucking way.) Where, o where, will bitchy Brits find another place to waste their vacations on?

Those looking to avoid the crowds but witness something spectacular could do worse than seek out the only recently unearthed fortress of Kuelap in northern Peru, a just rival to crowded Machu Picchu in the south.

Oh, great. Now it’s only a matter of time before legions of those pasty, limey bastards swarm other Latin American sights off the beaten path. Don’t say we didn’t warn you, salt flats of Bolivia.
