Sandra Cisneros Dies, Rises From Dead On Wikipedia
31 August 2007, 3:13 PM. By Cindy Casares

Someone posted on Wikipedia this week that Sandra Cisneros died in Colorado Springs. Could it be wishful thinking? The Chicana bard is still alive and well and presumably painting things horrendous colors in San Antonio. The Express-News reports:
No additional information about her supposed death was listed, other than a date, which at one point was changed from Monday to Tuesday. The egregious misstatement in her biography was left online 35 hours — until her agent demanded its removal about 1 p.m. Wednesday.
“It’s kind of amusing because you get to live to see everyone’s reaction of your death,” Cisneros said. “Like Mark Twain said: ‘The rumors of my death are greatly exaggerated.’”
AND Sandra finally has an excuse to compare herself to Mark Twain. That must have made it all worth it.
