The Celebrity Sex Tape That Wasn’t: An Update (No Thanks To You)

So yesterday’s well thought out call-to-arms didn’t move a single one of you to come forward with information that would validate Johanna Cardona as even just a minor celebrity–i.e., three notches below Carrot Top, one notch higher than your weatherman–and thereby make her the latest Latina ’star’ to have a freak sesh of hers go viral. (No pun intended.) We picked up your slack and found the screengrab at right that claims to positively identify the girl. The source blog threw in this tidbit as a bonus:

Johanna Cardona has all but disappeared since [the clip's release], except for a short interview with newspaper El Tiempo, in which she threatened to sue and bring to jail her ex-boyfriend Oscar Crespo for recording the video in his iPhone, the same video that later wound up on YouTube for a good couple of days!

First of all, since when is gossip best communicated in a massive run-on? Second of all, that kind of recording would never see the light of day on YouTube. (Not like we checked, or anything.) And finally, expect to see extensive coverage of the court proceedings leading up to Cardona’s appearance on Cristina. If we’re lucky, a book tour will ensue that might explain why anyone should give a shit about this woman in the first place.
