Excuse the desktop presentation of the above clip, but we figured boardroom scenes from “The Apprentice” don’t need that much definition and dazzle to get across. (Also, bear with our complete ignorance of the show in general and this episode in particular–it’s no Dr. 90210.) Watch as Donald Trump berates a contestant for failing in a mission we assume was about selling shit to people in a Los Angeles mall. Her excuse? “Communication problems” arose since she hadn’t counted on dealing with a predominantly Spanish-speaking crowd, and therefore hadn’t included a Spanish-speaking member on her team. Someone we presume is the token Latino contestant then goes off on a hysterical rant about ‘opening your eyes, estúpida!’ and realizing where exactly they are. It’s a rant so intense that he starts off in heavily-accented English before breaking into a spittle-launching rendition of his mother tongue. Enjoy, and good luck dodging the saliva.
Update: Some of us at Guanabee know this video is a parody. Some of us, (who wrote the post), were too busy waiting for Castro to die to notice. It is a funny clip, nonetheless, that makes a good point.

I know you can’t be surprised by the scripted part of reality TV but this was too sloppy for words. Notice how the camera cuts to the Latino contestant during the tirade but never shows him at the table except at the beginning when he raises his hand. The rest of the video are cutaway shots supposing the reactions of everyone in the room. Looks like it was shot after and inserted into the scene. I wish it had gone down the way they depicted it, cause what he said made sense and they all should take notice!
I guess no one spotted the irony in him not being able to express himself in english in a room full of whiteys while chastising that gringa for not knowing spanish in a mall full of latinos….
