This interview of rapper Baby Bash that just landed in our inbox is only entertaining for three reasons: 1) He pronounces Vallejo “Va-lay-ho,” Hi. Gringo much? 2) He manages to stammer on for 3 minutes about what a clever wordsmith he is. It’s called editing, people. Learn it. Know it. Live it. And 3) After repeating (quite awkwardly) how much he loves, loves, LOVES Va-Lay-Ho, he admits that he moved to Houston because it’s a better quality of life. Rap star sincerity. You can’t beat that shit with a stick.

As a person who has lived in northern California her entire existence, and since the main point of this article almost seems to be this, EVERYbody pronounces it “Va-lay-ho”
Never have I heard a person say it without a gringo accent.
