Have you ever met that person who gets called out as a foreigner and almost immediately begins to bombard you with everything ‘great’ about their country and culture? Kind of like when your friend’s cousin Raul visits from Mexico and begins to rant about everything we may deem mesmerizing about where he comes from. You know his motivation because you’re probably one of ‘them’ (we may have been guilty of it once or twice: Spaniards love American Latinos). The ‘culture pusher’ is out to embellish the exotic and woo a crowd. Lucky for us, the new season of CBS’s comedy series “How I Met Your Mother” premiered Monday with an example in the form of Enrique Iglesias playing a hunkified South American treat from Argentina named ‘Gael’ who proclaims:
‘Career is such an American idea. My career is living, wind-surfing, and making love’.
How many times have we dropped our panties for that one? Too many.

I so know this person. I think at some point I have used this before. Now its pretty revolting to see when someone else does it.

I’ve definitely been guilty of this because the temptation is too great at times: a chance to impress a beautiful chica, some new friends, and possibly the opportunity to turn into that one Dos XX dude. You know, ‘the most interesting man on earth.’ Damn I have a man crush on that dude.

I’d have to drop a few IQ points to fall for that crap.
