This week’s installment of the moribund Cuban dictator’s essay-length “Reflections” is quite the verbose doozie. Fidel Castro’s ghost, er, ghostwriter gets in touch with his snarky side and skewers the so-called “super-revolutionaries” in foreign Marxist nations who’ve called for reform on El Comandante’s island:
What is happening with the super-revolutionaries of the so-called far left? Some simply lack realism while others enjoy the pleasure of dreaming sweet dreams. Others still are far from being dreamers and are experts in the subject; they know what they are saying and why they are saying it. […] What is their advice to the Revolution? It’s pure poison; the most typical of the neoliberal formulae.
Seems a reliable revolutionary is hard to come by these days, Fidel. May we suggest bidding high for Che’s hair so you can clone another ready-for-screen-print freedom fighter?
