Hugo Chavez Is A Giant Soup Nazi.

In Venezuela, where people often lack the basic means to feed themselves, President and whack-job Hugo Chavez decided to solve the problem by cooking up a giant pot of soup. Avenida Bolivar, the largest avenue in downtown Caracas, was closed off while the government drove in the 3,958-gallon pot of sancocho, a stew made of beef, chicken, vegetables and potatoes. Sure it’s only enough food to feed folks for a day, but think of the other benefits:

“It’s going to break the Guinness record,” said Rafael Oropeza, the country’s nourishment minister, in comments broadcast today by state television. “There’s enough to celebrate with the family and with all of the citizens that want to participate.”

Wow. Imagine the size of the oven they use to store that pot.
