'Los Says Goodbye: Part 1 Of 2 (A Confession)

Farewell_Fez_9_13_07.jpg As you may know by now, this is my last week as Associate Editor at Guanabee. Even though tomorrow is technically my last day, today is when I’ve decided to get the farewell ball rolling. What better way to start it off than with a confession? I actually find Wilmer Valderrama entertaining. You read correctly—the man makes me laugh, but exclusivly as Fez. (My point is, one can separate his character in “That ’70s Show” from the douchebaggery he displays outside of it.) Let me explain the extent of my like for him. Back in college, my friends and I played an egotastic game called “Made-For-TV Movie.” The rules were simple. You’re given carte blanche to create a (what else?) made-for-tv movie of your own life story by choosing these three elements: the actor who’ll play you, the channel it’ll air on, and its title.

For me, it came down to Wilmer Valderrama as Fez, Skinemax, and “Sexin’ In Space: the Carlos Nobleza Posas Story.” (I operated under the universal truth that nothing grabs subscriptions like softcore in zero gravity.) Fill in the blanks of plot and story arc however you like, but just remember who introduced the game to you and your chums.

No Carlos, no! You can’t like Fez. I don’t care if you’re leaving, but you can’t like Fez.
