Meet Reggaeton’s Latest Victim
21 September 2007, 11:44 AM. By Carlos Posas
This is 10 year-old Anthony Avila, also known by his stage name Little Anthony A., who has fallen into reggaeton’s dirty, smelly hole. The kid felt reggaeton was his calling when he first heard that catchy tune “Gasolina” by everyone’s favorite thug wannabe, Daddy Yankee. Don’t worry, his album won’t be talking about how he banged some chick in the school yard, or how can roll the best fatty on his Little League team. His parent’s are not having any of that and are very strict with what he can and cannot say. Clearly:
“On the record I sing a song, ‘Mother,’ which is a message to young people to not use drugs. My message to my people is to respect your parents, study, behave well and don’t do drugs,” said the singer, who added that he dreams of becoming a surgeon when he is older, though without ever giving up music.
El Duque Howser, indeed. Just don’t get involved with any little Lindsay Lohans.
