Mexican Kids Hate The Gays

According to a Mexican national youth survey, 53 percent of the kids polled responded that they wouldn’t want to live next to a homosexual. The same amount said that they would not want to live with somebody who was HIV positive. The kids had some hate for their indigenous ilk, too, as 25 percent responded that they would not want to live next to an indigenous person. Emilio Alvarez Icaza, president of Mexico City’s Human Rights Commission, said that Mexican youth attitudes and practices are increasingly more discriminatory, particularly with the GLBT segment of society. Maybe that’s why Goldie chose Philadelphia for his débutante ball.
