Next Item On Huey’s Agenda: Brainwash School Children

As if making sancocho in a 3,000 gallon pot wasn’t crazy enough, Venezuela’s President Hugo Chavez is now threatening to shut down all public and private schools in his country that refuse his socialist approach on education. No word yet on how exactly classes will be taught, but the new curriculum will teach students to become “the new citizen,” steering them away from capitalist fundamentals. Chavez defends his state regulated curriculum by pointing out that he is merely following the same approach taken by the U.S. and Germany who are both involved in their country’s education systems. So we should be expecting his first crop of illiterate Nazis anyday now.
