Shakira Takes A Summer Course At UCLA, Distracts Classmates With Her Roots

It’s been confirmed that Shakira has spent the last six weeks or so taking a summer course on The History of Western Civilization at UCLA. (Why not Bong Rips 101, or Surrealist Belly Dancing: A Workshop Approach?) She took on the academic pursuit soon after her “Oral Fixation” tour wrapped in mid-July, no doubt inspiring countless Bruin dudes to fabricate over- the-top stories about how they “totally boned Shakira, bro. ‘Hips Don’t Lie’? More like ‘Vagina Don’t Lie’! High five.” (The co-eds, on the other hand, have long buried the bodies of hometown friends who incessantly asked for details of the latest Shakira sighting.) Sadly for them, the last day of class is tomorrow, and something tells us an absurdly popular, Grammy-winning pop star wouldn’t bother showing up for the final.
