Some of the first White people we ever saw in real life were the young, Mormon missionaries on bicycles who regularly came knocking at our house looking to save some souls. While we resented the condescension, we found their blue eyes, their pale skin and their pension for wearing short sleeve dress shirts with ties exotic. Many years later we occasionally find ourselves fantasizing about being a housewife home alone when a Mormon boy comes to call. In the fantasy, we make it our mission to punish this strapping, barely legal buck for all the years of preying his Church has done on the Latin American poor. Now, thanks to somebody named Chad Hardy, we have a calendar to help that fantasy along! While the calendar shows the men in standard missionary attire – white button-down shirts and ties – it also reveals them shirtless, with chests waxed, in various moments of repose.
