After garnering nearly double the amount of votes as her second place opponent, Elisa Carrio, First Lady Cristina Kirchner is now set to become Argentina’s first ovary-carrying president. And several political commentators think that’s really cute! Although Kirchner has tried to avoid comparisons to other famous female political figures, like Evita “Madonna” Peron and current U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, critics love to point out that not only do all three have fallopian tubes, they also often wear similar jewelry. Also, something about policy and energy issues and the economy and debt and blah blah. But mostly jewelry. Sparkly!

She’s kind of a bitch. But Chile and Argentina - from brutal super-macho dictatorships to super matronly presidentas in 20 years…. Ay… lagrimas….

Honestly, she’s there because of her husband. The economy is very stable, and he’s very popular. It’s going to be a tougher battle for Hillary. Also, comparing her to Eva Peron is a tad foolish. Fernandez is no Eva Peron, an iconic figure in Argentine history.
