spkrnunez%28clr%29.10.08.07.jpg The last time we considered ourselves middle class was when we stayed at the Venetian suites in Las Vegas and drank Glenlevit all day while sucking down oyster shooters that were half off. Now we blog for a living and eat falafel everyday because it’s dirt cheap. California Assemblyman Fabian Nuñez recently indulged in his campaign donor’s donations to take some luxurious trips across Europe because apparently that’s what middle class peeps do. Los Angeles Times reporter Steve Lopez commented on the Assemblyman’s latest episode of frivolous spending that we are all too familar with.

Italy. France. Spain. Our very own rascal in paradise has been there, and he’s tasted the world’s finest offerings. A $1,795 meal in Paris. An $8,745 hotel bill in Barcelona. A $5,149 meeting at a Bordeaux wine shop. “There’s not too big a difference,” Nuñez told Vogel, “between how I live and how most middle-class people live.”

Um, mommy, are we poor?

Nuñez middle class? Boy, that’s rich

Nothing to tell you that you’ve made it than to feign cutting the distance between yourself and those you’re far, far away from.

Middle-class? Damn, he spent as much on one meal in Paris than twelve very cheap (and probably lower-) middle class days in Mexico City, airfare inculded!!! Then again, the Dollar against the Euro can be a real pain in the ass.

Our little Fabian could even make a fresa blush!
