Car Salesman In Florida Tries To Rake In The Latino Bucks

No speak English? Earl Stewart, the owner of a South Florida car dealership, has the answer for you. Stewart began running Spanish advertisements on English networks (because we guess the kiddie-jumpers weren’t working anymore) and now “English-only” advocates are up-in-arms. The advertisements were inspired by Stewart’s dealership gimmick in which he allows customers to make direct calls to his cell phone via red telephones on his sales lot. Unfortunately, his Spanish-speaking customers would always be S.O.L. because Stewart isn’t bilingual (unless you consider hours of rehearsal and cue cards as fluent). Now he’s got the gringos pissed, the brownies as his friends, and he’s tripled his business. Our recommendation: watch out for crazy-eyed veterans Mr. Stewart.

I never get these English-only people. No one said he HAD to post ads in Spanish. And by doing so he tripled his business. And if Latinos don’t want to learn English, its only hurting them. So please crazy white people at my local McD’s… stop protesting the new bilingual menu. Kthx.
