Fact: Telenovelas Will Make You Vote For Obama Because Brown People Love Drama

Speaking of Presidential candidate Barack Obama’s love for Beaner-Americans, a group called Amigos de Obama (of the Obama reggaeton fame), an organization not actually funded by Barack’s official campaign people, has created a series of mini telenovelas in an effort to capture the attention of Latino voters. The three-episode series, entitled “Tu Voz, Tu Voto,” follows the Ortiz family as they learn about Obama and his policies. Save the drama for Obama!

The media campaign was created to fill a void in media outreach to Latinos. “We are using creative media to introduce Barack Obama to Latinos and communicate a positive message about his leadership on pertinent issues. We believe that the mini-novelas will engage, entertain, and most importantly, encourage minority groups to register to vote and support Senator Obama,” said Miguel Orozco of Nueva Vista Media, Inc.

We hope a mini telenovela is like porn without all that distracting, superfluous “dialogue.” All slapping, all the time.
