Fidel Castro Deathwatch: Castro Is Having Flashbacks

The Cuban leader released a column in official newspapers this weekend declaring that former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar tried convincing the U.S. to bomb the hell out of Serbian TV & radio stations during the war in Kosovo.

Castro said he first made the accusation - with far less detail - in a Cuban television appearance four years ago. At the time, Cuba was angered by Spanish criticism of its human rights record. Sunday’s essay, titled “Aznar’s Silence” said that U.S. and Spanish authorities have refused to comment on the accusation and he challenged Aznar once again to confirm the remarks.

Aznar? Serbia? Whatcha talking about Castrito? With Fidel Castro’s health consistently deteriorating, it’s plausible that he’s starting to reveal this news, which occurred in 1999, because his brain is rapidly progressing to the status of mush. These essays he’s writing are the equivalent of the kind of RAM malfunctions that occur when your computer is about to die. Except it’s Castro who is spontaneously re-sending you 8 year old emails. Of course, they also mark the beginning of the end, but you already knew that from his soiled diapers.
